THEOOZE as an Organization
1. Is THEOOZE connected with any particular church or denomination? No. THEOOZE reaches across various denominational lines and broad streams of Christianity. We actively pursue content, resources, and relationships that are rooted in Protestant, Orthodox, and Catholic traditions.
2. What does THEOOZE believe? Throughout the ages, and even more recently, the Church has allowed belief systems to separate, divide, and break relationships. We want to allow the various streams and traditions of Christianity the opportunity to highlight elements that they believe to be central to their expression of faith.
3. What does THEOOZE think about Postmodernism? Although many have chosen to fight against our current culture, we believe there is a new, emerging mindset that would rather take postmodernism into account. This cultural shift has created a greater awareness of spirituality and the need for the holy Other. We believe that the local church has the opportunity to meet the needs of this emerging mindset.

While our society has shifted, many churches and denominations have firmly planted their feet in the concrete of modernity. The modern age was characterized by the scientific method assuming that we, as human beings, could figure everything out. If we worked hard enough and thought long enough, we could find absolute truth through the methods of science and reason. Although this outlook has allowed us to "progress" in both the church and society, it has also alienated the Church from our ever-changing society. Instead of spending time fighting against postmodernity, we are choosing to create an online community where people can encounter God in a new, dynamic way. We are also encouraging churches to do the same within their local communities.
4. Why does THEOOZE offer content and articles with differing points of view? We believe that part of the movement that we are experiencing currently involves the integration of various streams of Spirituality. People around the world - especially young people - seem to be interested in learning and growing from various viewpoints that exist throughout various traditions and denominations.
We assume that some of our articles will directly contradict one another, and that's okay. We want to provide a place where people can play with new ways of thinking and new ways of connecting with God. Actually, when it comes right down to it, many of these "new" ways are actually really "old" ways. We are finding that there are an abundance of resources that are rooted in the ancient traditions of the church that are overwhelmingly rich in heritage and present-day value. Many of these articles stem from Catholic and Orthodox viewpoints, and we are going out of our way to include them. We believe that an amazing tapestry will be woven together as we begin to come together for the purpose of new relationships and new forms of learning. (Check out our Partners to see the various points of view that are being represented.)

THEOOZE.com Future
1. Is THEOOZE.com done? Is this all I get? No way! We've just begun. In the next few months, we plan to add tons of features including the OOZELETTER, OOZETANK, OOZEGALLERY, OOZETHEATER, expanded search and all of these items will be tools that you can use to connect with others, grow in your faith, and have a bunch of fun.
2. Will independants be able to offer digital resources as well? Of course! We're going to pursue thousands of independant bands, authors, and artists so that everyone can offer their resources on the site. You'll literally be able to upload your product (music, book, short video, story, images, etc.) to the site, and people from all over the world will be able view it. Stay tuned for more details on how you can offer your resources on the OOZETANK.
3. Why is THEOOZE focusing primarily on digitally-downloadable resources? Two things are really important to us at THEOOZE - our environment and economics.
In a day and age where paper and plastic are overflowing from our landfills and our air is being polluted constantly by delivery trucks, we believe that a shift toward more digital resources will benefit us all. If we don't have to use paper and plastic to create our products and if we don't have deliver the product with fuel, we think our world will be a little better off.
And, if we don't have to use paper, plastic, or fuel, that means we're going to save quite a bit of money. Instead of keeping that money, we plan to pass it along to you - our users and our community. Then, you get the chance to choose how you spend that extra money. We hope you'll give some of it to your local faith community, a service agency, or your friends and family.
